    A woman and her son tragically lost their lives during the demolition of Aluguyi Village, popularly known as Lungu Village in the FCT Abuja. A middle-aged woman from  Igarra community in Akoko Edo local government area of Edo has reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself with a rope tied to the ceiling fan in their family apartment.  Ometere Aduga,  mother of one, whose husband does not reside in the state, was said to be two months pregnant, for a yet to be identified person. A reason some suggested  could be responsible for the act, owing to the possible case of infidelity. According to an eye witness the deceased had visited a private hospital in the town, few days earlier, and had confided in the hospital personnel of her intention to commit suicide because of the reported pregnancy. Reports said the deceased was counseled against such action and was given an appointment to report back on Monday for further medical examination and more counseling. He died yesterday June 17th at a hospital in london where he was undergoing treatment for Colon cancer. A Police officer reportedly slumped yesterday after following a directive by the Inspector General of Police,transferring him to Borno State. According to ThisDay,the officer, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) attached to the Central Police Station, Nnewi in the Anambra State Police Command, had less than a year left to retire from the service was among the 149 officers affected by the postings to different parts of the country. He was then rushed to a private hospital in Nnewi where he was revived....... It is quite shocking to know that we find it more difficult to wait on things that will affect our lives.
