Yesterday, there was a riot and alleged jail break by prisoners at the famous Kirikiri Maximum Prison in Lagos . The Sun Newspaper is reporting the reason for the unrest as the following: “the inmates were fed up with what they described as highhandedness on the part of the new Deputy Controller at the Maximum Security Prison , DCP Kayode Odeyemi . They alleged that he stripped the inmates of all the privileges given to them by former controllers.

An Alabama pastor shocked his flock by reportedly confessing from the pulpit that he has AIDS, had slept with church members, used drugs and misused funds.  Rev. Two 8 year old children Mary Odiong and Master Ekong Asua from Akwa Ibom State, have been tortured and sent out of their homes on the allegation of witchcraft. One of the them,Odiong said her ordeal started after their uncle died of an ailment suspected to he AIDS .Some relatives then said she was responsible for the AIDS and his subsequent death. An African American Passenger   traveling to the Dominican Republic was thrown out of a plane after sneezing and jokingly saying he is from Africa. His statement caused Ebola panic among passengers and the airplane crew and caused authorities to isolate the plane for more than an hour on the tarmac. According to NBC news, as the plane touched down in the Dominican Republic, he sneezed and yelled out, “I have Ebola...I’ve been to Africa!,”...  The flight attendants immediately alerted  Health officials who came in full protective gear(above) and  bundled him out of the plane . Despite his pleas that he was joking and had never been to Africa, he was whisked away. He kept yelling "I ain't from Africa. Shit!"as the fellow passengers hurled insults in him.

 A Man has been arrested by the Nigerian police over the murder of a middle-aged woman, identified as Silifat Yakubu.She was allegedly killed by her husband, Ismail Yakubu, at Igbele, near Araromi Ale Olorunda Local Council Development Area, along Badagry Expressway in Lagos. It was gathered that the mutilated body of the deceased was found in a small river located at the community’s entrance, where she was supposedly dumped after she was murdered. Students in external campuses of Lagos State University , LASU , must pay their school fees within the next two weeks or forfeit their studentship, authorities in LASU have announced. The university management also informed that in line with the Lagos State Government directive, the university’s external system would windup by 2016, add­ing that any student, who failed to complete his/her studies would cease to be its student. Disclosing this was the Vice Chancellor of LASU , Prof John Oba­funwa , during a media briefing attended by the technical partners of the external system and principal of­ficers of the institution.
