Why I Don't Rap in English -Olamide Finally Open Up


Olamide has opened up on why he doesn't rap English. When asked by City people magazine ,he explained why he choose to rap in Yoruba

Se Ema San Wo Mi (will you pay me for that) (laughs). Like I have always said, if I want to listen to an English rap, I will rather buy a Jay Z CD, because "no Oyinbo wey una go speak for here for Naija wey go fit be like people wey get Oyinbo". I still believe in indigenous hip-hip and I believe it is the future of Nigerian music.

PHOTO: Subsidy fraudster sentenced to 10years imprisonment.

Justice Lateefat Okunnu of the Lagos High Court Ikeja, has sentenced Walter Wagbatsoma and Adaoha Ugo-Nnadi, owners of Ontario Oil and Gas company, to 10 years in prison for fuel subsidy fraud. The duo were found guilty of obtaining the sum of N754 million by false pretense from the Federal Government purporting the money to be subsidy payable to Ontario Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited.  Delivering judgement this morning, the presiding judge ordered the accused persons and their company to refund N754 million being the amount it defrauded the Nigerian government. The judge ruled that their sentence would start counting from January 13th 2016.

NDLEA Arrests Man With 2.605Kg Of Cocaine Packed As Candies

A 52-year old man, Onyejiaju Augustine was arrested by the Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. Onyejiaju who had been on the list of wanted drug barons was caught with 2.605 kilogrammes of cocaine packed as candies during the screening of passengers in the airport who were travelling to Etihad. This arrest was confirmed by the  NDLEA spokesperson, Michelle Ofoyeju and  Commander of the agency at the airport, Mr. Umar Hamza. The suspect had earlier departed Sao Paulo, Brazil with the disguised drugs undetected but was however apprehended by the NDLEA officials in Lagos. Speaking to news correspondents, Mr. Umar Hamza said, “We made a shocking discovery of 2.605kg of cocaine carefully and neatly packed as candies.
