I have the ability to manage resources- Julius Agwu speaks on his governorship ambition.



Its no longer news that foremost Nigerian comedian and actor, Julius Agwu have made his intention to run for the office of the Governor of Rivers State known. During one of his stand up comedy shows titled Crack Ya Ribs: The Declaration, the 41 year old said: My ambition to be a governor is born out of the need for the youths to have a say in governance. As you already know, today is The Declaration. I am officially telling the world that Julius Agwu is running for governorship in Rivers State in 2015." Whether we like it or not, we have been playing our own part as entertainers. Over the years I have built a sustainable brand and exported it. Whether we like it or not, I am an entrepreneur; I have the ability to manage resources. That is why I have decided to serve my people."

Robbers circulate letters of their coming to residents in Igando, Lagos

We have come to the stage where armed robbers now write to residents of their coming so they can prepare earlier and keep something for them (robbers). Residents of Onimaba, College Bus stop, Ikotun Road, Igando, Lagos have been given reasons to live in fear since last week Thursday after a letter purportedly written by armed robbers circulated their streets. The letter, numbering about 20 was typed on an A4 paper and was scattered on the streets, which was noticed by residents as they woke up on Thursday morning. The letter reads, "Be prepared, be prepared, be prepared. Our dues must be paid this festive season. Nobody can stop us as we can strike at any time. Only enough money can save your life. To be forewarned is to be fore-harmed. We don inform you people of this area. if you get ear, make you hear ooooo." A landlord who gave his name as Alhaji Lawal during an interview with Punch, said..   Riot police were out in force with several Brazilian cities in case trouble kicked off. in Rio de janeiro officers descended on copacabana beach amid reports of gunfire. Authorities were called to a densely populated area of Sao paulo after football supporters reportedly set a bus alight. Spectators inside the Mineirao stadium in Belo horizonte were in tears as a their sides succumbed to a humiliating 7-1 defeat to Germany in the world cup semi-final ending dreams of a title on home soil last night. Brazil head coach Felipe Scolari said he had experienced the worst day of his life in the wake of the result. he said i will be remembered probably because i lost 7-1, the worst defeat brazil has ever had but that was a risk i knew i was running  when i accepted this position.
