Jonathan leaves for South Africa for discussions on combating terrorism.



President Goodluck Jonathan will leave Abuja for Pretoria, South Africa, for high-level discussions with other African Heads of State and Government on combating terrorism.
This was said by the special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati, made the disclosure in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday.
Abati said that the five African regions would each be represented by two heads of state and government at the talks, which would focus on collective action to effectively roll-back the scourge of terrorism in Africa.
The talks, Abati said, would take place ahead of President Jacob Zuma of South Africa’s inauguration for a new term in office.
He also that the Presidents expected at the talks included that of Ghana, Republic of Congo, Chad, Angola, Rwanda, South Africa, Mauritania, Algeria and Ethiopia.
President Jonathan would be accompanied by the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Aminu Wali and some key aides, Abati noted.
He said the President would return to Abuja after attending President Zuma’s inauguration on Saturday.

Robbers circulate letters of their coming to residents in Igando, Lagos

We have come to the stage where armed robbers now write to residents of their coming so they can prepare earlier and keep something for them (robbers). Residents of Onimaba, College Bus stop, Ikotun Road, Igando, Lagos have been given reasons to live in fear since last week Thursday after a letter purportedly written by armed robbers circulated their streets. The letter, numbering about 20 was typed on an A4 paper and was scattered on the streets, which was noticed by residents as they woke up on Thursday morning. The letter reads, "Be prepared, be prepared, be prepared. Our dues must be paid this festive season. Nobody can stop us as we can strike at any time. Only enough money can save your life. Brazil head coach Felipe Scolari said he had experienced the worst day of his life in the wake of the result. he said i will be remembered probably because i lost 7-1, the worst defeat brazil has ever had but that was a risk i knew i was running  when i accepted this position.
