10 Months old baby re-unites with Mother who survived Nyanya blast at the hospital.
As stories of the dead and survivors of
the Nyanya blast in Abuja on Monday surfaced yesterday, one of the
standout stories was that of a baby called Goodness who was found alive
in the midst of the dead. The surprising thing about the story was that
apart from a swollen eye, Goodness looked okay while her mother was
assumed dead.
Goodness was taken to the Asokoro General Hospital for treatment.
A man who showed up later and identified
himself as her father was the one who said the baby’s name was
Goodness. The mother, a petty trader at the bus park where the bus went
off was carrying the baby at the time of the blast.
In a stroke of good fortune, the mother
who was assumed to be dead was found to be alive and being treated in a
different hospital, the Wuse General Hospital. The baby and her mother
(Gloria Adams) have now been reunited at the latter hospital were the
mum is receiving treatment at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
According to reports, Goodness spent most of yesterday sleeping and is being cared for by her aunt, Maria Dominic.
The lord is good.
