Cultist arrested with gun, axe at Ibadan Poly gate (Photo)

A confraternity member has been arrested by security officials of the Ibadan Polytechnic after he attempted to smuggle an axe, a gun and live catridges into the university compound.
The 22 year old who gave his name as Harry Okereke said he was a student in a tertiary institution in Ibadan.
Hezekiah Fehintola, Registrar of the Polytechnic said in a statement, “The 22-year-old suspect claimed to be from Delta State and a student of a higher institution in Ibadan.
“He claimed to have visited Ibadan Poly to see a friend called Pumasi. Members of staff, students and the entire community in the school are hereby advised to be security conscious.”
He has reportedly been transferred to the Police Anti-Robbery squad.
